Polaris Dogs is a training and dog walking service based in North Dublin, run and operated by Darina.

Polaris, also known as the Pole Star or North Star, is famed in antiquity for guiding travellers on their journey. At Polaris we aim to guide you on your dog training journey, offering support and solutions to all of your dog training problems while providing you with ethical and scientific training methods.

Darina has been training in her field since 2015, having spent 5 years in one of Dublin’s top daycare & training centres, she set up Polaris Dogs in early 2020.

A professional member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT), Darina also holds OCN certifications in ‘Introductory to Canine behaviour’, and ‘Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour’. She is also a qualified blue level scent-dog instructor with the WSDA (World Scent Dog Association) and is a level one trial judge.

Darina advocates for force-free, positive reinforcement methods of training ensuring both dog and human are having success & fun. Darina continues to study in her field, attending courses and seminars regularly.

Darina currently lives in North County Dublin with her 4 rescue lurchers.
